Game Modes

Tag Tournament features 6 different game modes, each of one having distinct rules and objectives, but based on the same gameplay. Choosing the game mode can be done in a first step of game configuration, right after choosing to start a new game (Start Menu → Start new Game)

The existing game modes are as following:

Tagmatch:

Tagmatch corresponds to the classic “Tagged” gameplay. The objective is to tag as many tables as possible, being the score determined by the sum of the points of all conquered tag spots. If there is a time limit and it runs out, the winner is the player with most tag points. If there is a predefined tag point limit, the first to reach that value is the winner.

Tag The One

In this mode, the players must tag the girl's table, but since there is no clue of which one it is (and it is random), the players must tag the tables until they find it. Unlike any other character which reacts as soon as the tables starting getting tagged, the girl will only appear when the tagging is finished.

The first to tag on her table is the winner. Is game is nor point oriented nor time oriented.

Last Tag Standing

In this mode all the tag spots start equally tagged, being all 3-point tag spots left out. The players must try to clean each other's tags. If there is a time limit and it runs out, the winner is the player with most tag points left. If there is a predefined tag point limit, the first one to go below that tag score loses.

Tag Domination

Each player must tag as many spots as possible and hold them in order to gain points. Each table will “harvest” a certain amount of points (depending of the type of tag spot) each two seconds, which will sum up to the owner's score. No points can be lost.
If there is a time limit and it runs out, the winner is the player with most points. If there is a predefined point limit, the first to reach that value is the winner.

Attag

Each player has a predefined number points, which corresponds to their number of “lives”. The players have to beat each others by throwing objects and using powerups. When a player faints, a point is lost. The first one to reach 0, loses. Since tagging slightly heals, it is a way to recover from damage taken (although the same dangers may arise from tagging). If there is a time limit and it runs out, the winner is the player with most points/“lives”.

Golden Tag

In this mode, only one specific table can be tagged or untagged at the time. Each player must run to be the first to tag it. If there is a time limit and it runs out, the winner is the player with most tag points. If there is a predefined tag point limit, the first to reach that value is the winner.
